Resources Fair and Service Awards to be Held for Disabilities Awareness Month

WEST HOLLYWOOD — October is Disabilities Awareness Month. In celebration, the City of West Hollywood, in collaboration with the City’s Disabilities Advisory Board is hosting a Disabilities Resource Fair on October 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at at West Hollywood Community Center at Plummer Park, rooms 5 and 6 and Service Awards on October 23

At the fair, there will be free flu shots, MediCal and CalFresh enrollment, and resources from local nonprofit organizations serving the community. Legal consultations, which include the drafting of wills and Advanced Directives, will be offered by Bet Tzedek Legal Services to people who live or work in the City of West Hollywood.

Additionally, there will be workshops taught by experts in the field covering government benefits and emergency preparedness.
