Wolfgang Puck’s Chinese New Year Celebration 2020 – Feb 7

LOS ANGELES — “WP24 by Wolfgang Puck at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles is celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday, February 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

Boasting panoramic views of the city, the sky-high venue provides the perfect atmosphere for a night market pop up featuring signature menu items such as squid ink shrimp steamed dumplings, a roasted Peking duck garnished with golden pineapple, scallions, and sesame bao buns accompanied by a specialty cocktail themed to the New Year and a mochi waffle dessert. 

For good fortune, the restaurant is hosting live performances featuring dragon dancers fully decked out in traditional Chinese costume in honor of the New Year.

For an immersive experience, WP24 by Wolfgang Puck debuts interactive stations featuring traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, Chinese calligraphy, and a red envelope giveaway to wish good luck and share blessings.

Byredo Store and Gucci Rooftop Restaurant Open in Bev Hills

BEVERLY HILLS (the Hollywood Reporter) — The Hollywood Reporter ‘s Shop Talk guide covers retail openings and boutique news in Los Angeles.

It now reports that Gucci’s Rooftop Restaurant is now serving Beverly Hills High-fashion foodies on Rodeo Drive and can match their sartorial tastes with luxurious dining.

The Italian fashion house’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, has once again tapped culinary collaborator Massimo Bottura to open Gucci Osteria, the Michelin three-star chef’s second outpost for the brand and his first U.S. location.

BEVERLY HILLS (Timeout) — Pablo Enriquez High fashion meets haute cuisine when Gucci opens its first—and only— Gucci Osteria in the U.S., with a little help from one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs.

Starting Monday, February 17, you can perch atop the iconic Rodeo Drive (and the Gucci store) in the fashion house’s new Italian gem, a breezy alfresco 50-seat number from three–Michelin-starred chef Mossimo Bottura, and dine on pizza-inspired risotto, delicate tortellini in parmigiano reggiano cream, and even a few dishes inspired by Los Angeles: a departure from the original Osteria’s outpost in Florence, and the forthcoming location in Ginza, Tokyo.
