8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/12/2019 @ 1725. A man removed a bottle of alcohol and left the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, the suspect pointed and waved a knife at the victim. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05441

August 13th

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)
7900 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/13/2019 @ 1830. A man was looking through his suitcase when the suspect approached him from behind and took a shirt from the suitcase. A struggle ensued and the victim was cut on his arm with a glass bottle by the suspect. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05459

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested)
8800 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/14/2019 @ 0115. A man attempted to stab the victim during an argument while standing on the sidewalk. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05469

Robertson Blvd / Rosewood Avenue
08/14/2019 @ 1336. A man was riding a scooter SB on Robertson Blvd when the suspect blocked his path and pulled a bag of clothing from his hand. A struggle ensued and the suspect threatened to stab the victim. The victim allowed the suspect to leave. #05477

08/15/2019 @ 1100-1700. An unknown suspect removed a luggage bag containing clothing from the front seat of the unlocked vehicle. #05464

8400 block Sunset Blvd
08/15/2019 @ 2245. Two women removed $800 cash from the victim’s hotel room after being invited inside. The victim tried to stop the suspects from leaving and was threatened by two men associated with the suspects. #05503

08/15/2019 @ 1000-1800. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side door and removed a laptop computer from the back seat. #05498

08/16/2019 @ 2350. A woman was punched twice in the face by a man during an argument over a parking space. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05533

08/16/2019 @ 1530-1550. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a backpack containing two passports and two pairs of sunglasses from the backseat. #05522

08/16/2019 @ 1500-1620. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed two backpacks containing passports, sunglasses, wallets, credit cards, clothing, and one laptop computer from the rear floorboard. #05523

08/17/2019 – 08/19/2019. An unknown suspect removed tools from the trunk of the unlocked vehicle. #05604

8300 block Willoughby Avenue
08/17/2019 @ 0620. A man was walking to his car when two men approached him while armed with a gun and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspects ran to an unknown car and fled the area. #05536

08/17/2019 @ 0640. A man was sitting at the bus stop using his cell phone when a man approached him from behind and pulled the cell phone from his hand. #05537

08/17/2019 @ 1400-1600. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a Nintendo switch, books, and flip flops from the back seat. #05548

Santa Monica Architect Stabbed in Expo Line Altercation

West Los Angeles (SM Mirror) — Four minors have been taken into custody after a Santa Monica man was stabbed in a violent confrontation on the Expo Line in West Los Angeles.

The incident occurred on the Metro E (Expo) Line Tuesday night at around 8:30 PM.

Former Santa Monica Planning Commission Chair Gwynne Pugh says he was riding the E line back to Santa Monica when two teenage couples, two men and two women, got on the train with a shopping cart filled with alcohol.

Female Motorist Charged With Assaulting People at Taco Truck



LOS ANGELES — A 25-year-old woman accused of assaulting people at a taco truck with her vehicle last August has been charged, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced.

Amber Rose Darbinyan of Los Angeles faces three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, a car, one felony count each of hit-and-run driving resulting in injury to another person and vandalism over $400 damage, as well as three misdemeanor counts of battery.

Darbinyan pleaded not guilty today. The defendant is scheduled to return to court on March 27 for a preliminary hearing setting in Department 37 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

On Aug. 25, 2019, Darbinyan and other patrons were parked in front of a taco truck in Hollywood when she allegedly rammed her vehicle against a car that was blocking her path, prosecutors said.

If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of eight years and four months in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Station.

Brother of Jeff Bezos girlfriend attacked by man screaming ‘f**k you’ just days after filing lawsuit against Amazon boss

WEST HOLLYWOOD (The Sun) — THE BROTHER of Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend was attacked in the street by a man who threatened to kill him and whacked him with a bike – just days after filing a defamation lawsuit against the Amazon chief.

Michael Sanchez, 54, was approached by a man on a bike screaming: “F**k you” and “Don’t ignore me” before the suspect picked up the bike and struck him with it, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s report, obtained by The Sun. Michael Sanchez filed a police report about the alleged attack The suspect also allegedly screamed “I’m going to kill you” according to onlookers to the incident, which took place in West Hollywood on February 5.
