In what appears to be a serious incident, a man was trapped at the construction site for the new West Hollywood Library at approximately 8:15AM this morning. Cal OSHA, the agency which oversees accidents at construction workplaces, was notified of the incident.
Fire Department units were dispatched to Robertson Blvd and El Tovar Place and upon arrival reported the man was stuck on the side of a building. The location was later updated to Melrose and San Vicente.
Further information indicated the man was conscious and breathing and was trapped below the waist between a large wall and a concrete barrier.
Cal OSHA was requested while also reporting that it was going to take a lot of manpower to remove the man from the construction site.
