LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, Burglary Special Section Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending organized retail crime suspects who have been targeting cosmetic retail stores in the Los Angeles area.

From June to October 2019, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.m the suspect(s) entered the targeted businesses with empty back packs or shopping bags and concealed high dollar fragrances in their empty bags. The suspects would then leave the stores without paying for the merchandise.

The Commercial Crimes Division, Burglary Special Section is investigating and attempting to identify suspects responsible for a series of organized retail grand thefts occurring at cosmetics retail stores located in the Beverly Center Mall, The Grove and Century City.

This organized group is also believed to be responsible for targeting other cosmetic stores in Glendale, Beverly Hills, Marina Del Rey, Pasadena and Santa Monica.

The Burglary Special Section (BSS) has identified two outstanding suspects involved in the above incidents who are responsible for thousands of dollars in property loss. In total, 11 crimes were committed in the city of Los Angeles.

The District Attorney’s Office filed multiple counts on suspects, James Henry and Brian Upton. Warrants have been issued for the two suspects.

Stella, a 4-year-old labradoodle, was the most prized possession stolen from Barbara Goodhill’s home last Friday.

YG Reports Over $400k in Jewelry Stolen

WEST HOLLYWOOD (TMZ) — YG claims nearly half a million dollars in bling was taken right from under his nose — and cops are on the case.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the rapper filed a police report Monday in L.A. for grand theft, telling police over $400,000 in personal jewelry had recently been jacked from his hotel room at the London. And, by “recently,” we mean almost an entire week earlier.

We’re told YG claims sometime between 11 PM on NYE and 11 AM the next morning, a briefcase containing high-priced pieces that had been placed on top of a safe was a little lighter than usual. YG told cops he noticed the missing valuables on Jan. 1 … but for some reason, didn’t get around to making an official report until 5 days later.

No suspects have been identified in the case yet … we’re told YG noted he had people coming in and out of his room that night. Makes sense — it was a big holiday, after all.

That said, our sources say detectives will be looking into possible surveillance footage in and around the area to see if they can spot anything … in addition to their usual investigatory methods.
