Man Strolling Area Wearing Only Underwear

Published

on

Los Angeles Police are in the area of Melrose and Fairfax looking for an indecent exposure suspect.

The man was reportedly walking westbound on Melrose wearing only red and white underwear.

Without blue, it sounds like we can rule out a patriotic pre Fourth of July display as the reason for the parade.

UPDATE:

No information about if the man looked good in his underwear was available at the time of the post, but we heard from a few people about him…

Dax Holt captured a photo of the widely reported man in underwear strolling streets in the area. He was heading eastbound in front of Cinespace on Hollywood Blvd between Cahenga and Vine in this picture.

SkinnyArbuckle told us on Twitter, “I saw the underwear guy. red-white & blue. he looked hot. intersection of melrose/s.m.blvd & doheny. posing for traffic. lunatic.”

Brandy said in our comments section below, “We saw him. He was a young, good looking guy. Carrying what looked like his clothes. We guessed he was a visiting European who didn’t realize our fashion isn’t as liberal as theirs. Really surprised anyone in West Hollywood would have been bothered by him. Bet he got a few party invites…”

Somebody should hook him up with a promotional contract with Andrew Christian, Calvin Klein, 2xist, or AussieBum!

I was in a car accident on Santa Monica earlier today and while I was waiting for the tow truck to come, I saw him outside of the Out of the Closet on Santa Monica/Crescent Heights doing some kind of exercise where he straddled one of those blue bus benches and thrusted at the sky. He did that for about 15-20 minutes, then continued his walk on Santa Monica.

And no, he was not what caused my car accident.

Why is this such a big deal? Indecent exposure? You see the same thing at the beach all the time.

He doesn’t sing or do magic tricks, he doesn’t appear to even have a website. I’ve heard that back in the day, before the Internet, that’s what rent boys had to do to advertise – walk the streets in skimpy clothing. Maybe he is just an old fashion type of guy…or a confussed European.

LOS ANGELES — A Lakewood man was charged Jan 14 with six felony counts, including animal cruelty, in connection with the fatal shooting of a dog, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Shane Michael Dubyak faces one count each of cruelty to an animal; fleeing a pursuing peace officer’s motor vehicle while driving recklessly; possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, heroin and a revolver; and unlawful possession of ammunition as well as two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.

The case includes an allegation that Dubyak used a revolver in the commission of animal cruelty.

Arraignment is scheduled Jan 14 in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Downey Branch.

On Jan. 5, the defendant reportedly shot a 15-year-old terrier named Artie that was left under his care, in the 16400 block of Phoebe Avenue in La Mirada, prosecutors said. On Jan. 10, police spotted Dubyak and he fled when they attempted to detain him, prosecutors added.

According to ABC “Detectives launched an investigation after the incident was captured on surveillance video, showing someone shooting the dog Sunday before driving off.”

Prosecutors are requesting the defendant be held with no bail for violation of probation terms in which Dubyak pleaded no contest to one felony count of identity theft with a prior.

If convicted as charged on the current case, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of more than 14 years in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Norwalk Station.
