Madonna Sued by Ticket Holder For Pushing Back Concert Time

Published

on

MIAMI BEACH (TMZ) — Madonna is pissing off fans after pushing back the start times for her Madame X Tour … and now she’s getting hit with a class-action lawsuit.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ … Madonna and Live Nation are being sued by a ticket holder in Florida who claims he lost a bunch of money after they moved the start of concerts from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

In the docs, Nate Hollander claims way back in August he purchased tickets to Madonna’s December 17 concert in Miami Beach, and it was originally slated to begin at 8:30 PM.

According to the suit … Madonna has not been punctual on tour, often taking stage two hours later than scheduled, and she recently switched her start times to 10:30 PM, which Nate claims is ridiculous for the Tuesday evening show he was planning to attend.

The guy suing Madonna claims his ticket’s much less valuable now that the concert is starting 2 hours later than initially planned, and he claims he’s been denied a refund on the $1,024.95 he forked over for 3 tix.

Now, he’s gathering up a class of other angry fans and going after Madonna for damages.

We reached out to the singer’s reps … no word back, so far.

Jussie Smollett Fighting Chicago Lawsuit for Investigative Costs

Published

on

By

CHICAGO (TMZ) — Jussie Smollett now has a fight on his hands on 2 fronts, because the City of Chicago is not backing down from its lawsuit to recover the cost of investigating what authorities say was a fake “attack.”

Multiple sources tell us, the City of Chicago could drop its case against Jussie to recover nearly half a mil because if he’s convicted in criminal court the judge would almost certainly order restitution on behalf of the City.

Thing is … it makes total sense for the City to press on with its lawsuit, despite the Special Prosecutor reinstituting 6 felony criminal charges against him. The standard of proof in a criminal case is way harder to meet than in a civil case. In a criminal case, the proof needs to be 99% solid against Jussie. In a civil case, it just has to be 51% – 49%.

Now, the new problem facing the City is that Jussie will almost certainly take the 5th against self-incrimination in the civil lawsuit because of the looming criminal case. In Illinois, if a defendant takes the 5th in a civil case, the judge can tell the jury it can conclude that person is hiding something.

One thing we know … Abel and Ola Osundairo — the 2 brothers who Jussie says attacked him — will testify that the whole thing was a setup masterminded by Jussie.

It’s an interesting situation because Jussie has brought the Osundairo brothers in as a defendant in the City of Chicago’s lawsuit, claiming they did indeed attack him. It’s gonna be hard to prove that if he doesn’t take the stand.

BTW … The City of Chicago is playing coy, saying, “the City stands by our original complaint seeking to recover costs for Mr. Smollett’s false statements.” We pressed and asked if that meant the case will not be dropped and a City official refused to comment, but sources with direct knowledge say the lawsuit will proceed.

Madison Beer Stuns Assistant With Mercedes-Benz Birthday Gift

Published

on

LOS ANGELES (TMZ) — Madison Beer splurged for her personal assistant’s 30th birthday gift … and we ain’t talking expensive booze or jewelry, more like luxury wheels.

The surprise reveal went down Monday night in L.A. after the singer and some friends celebrated her assistant’s birthday. When dinner ended, Madison handed her assistant a bag, but it turned out to be empty. It was also a ruse.

Madison pulled out a key fob to a brand new Mercedes-Benz C300. Suffice it to say … Madison’s assistant was stunned and damn near speechless. Madison’s Mercedes gift helluva gesture, especially ’cause Madison knew about her assistant’s car trouble for a while.

Source: Instagram

We’re told her assistant’s 12-year-old whip kept breaking down. It’s a car she used a lot to run Madison’s errands and whatnot. Madison also knew her assistant’s dream was to one day own a white Benz. Madison delivered, and then some … a white-on-white model that tends to run upwards of $50k.

Goes without saying, Madison is super close with her assistant, and knew this would blow her mind. She was dead-on, as you can see in the video — which also reveals a sweet new nickname for boss Beer.
