Law Enforcement Agencies Pay Respect to Fallen LA Detective

LOS ANGELES (Fox LA) – The body of sheriff’s Detective Amber Leist, who was struck by a vehicle after helping a woman cross a Valley Village Street, was carried in a solemn procession Wednesday from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office to a mortuary in Covina, escorted by dozens of law enforcement vehicles.

The procession began near downtown Los Angeles shortly after 11 a.m. and arrived about an hour later at Malinow and Silverman Mortuary at 578 E. San Bernardino Road. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Pink Taco Founder Harry Morton's Estate Worth At Least $17 Million

(TMZ) — The estate of the late-Pink Taco founder and West Hollywood Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy, Harry Morton, is worth at least $17 million … TMZ has learned.

Harry’s father, Peter Morton, just filed legal docs, obtained by TMZ, to take control of his son’s estate … and the docs say Harry had over $17 million in personal property when he died.

According to the docs, Harry’s personal property is worth $17,293,187 … but the total value of the estate could be higher if there are any separate trusts that are not part of the probate estate.

TMZ broke the story … Harry was found dead in his Los Angeles residence back in November, this after suffering a heart attack. Harry, who had no partner or children, died without a will.

Harry founded the popular restaurant chain in 1999 when he was only 18. He was also the owner of the Viper Room in West Hollywood.

Michael Douglas, Steven Spielberg Among Many at Kirk Douglas Funeral

LOS ANGELES (TMZ) — Michael Douglas was among the many celebs who poured in from afar to bid Kirk Douglas goodbye at his funeral.


Michael, his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Steven Spielberg were among the many who at the funeral at Westwood Memorial in L.A.

Kirk’s wife, Anne Buydens, arrived as well. As we reported … the legendary actor died on February 5th.

Michael announced, “To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard of us all to aspire to.”

Kirk, who earned Oscar nominations as an actor and producer, served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.S. State Department and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1981 by President Jimmy Carter.

Kirk is survived by Anne, his 3 sons and seven grandchildren. He was 103.

Publicist Joyce Sevilla Found Dead in West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD (Hollywood Reporter) — Entertainment and nightlife publicist Joyce Sevilla was found dead Wednesday night in her West Hollywood apartment, multiple sources have confirmed. She was believed to be 47.

A public information officer at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that a death had occurred on the 1300 block of Harper Avenue in West Hollywood (where Sevilla is known to have lived). “No suspicious activity or foul play is suspected,” said the officer, adding that no other information was available. THR also has reached out to the Los Angeles County coroner.
