Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin to Speak at Saban Theatre

BEVERLY HILLS — Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are coming to the Saban Theatre of Beverly Hills. These accomplished actors and activists will kick off a night of hilarity, witty observations, and thoughtful conversation on October 20 at 7:00 pm.  

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have been friends for over 40 years and currently star together in the Netflix hit comedy series Grace & Frankie.  Fonda is a two-time Academy Award, three-time Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress, best-selling author, activist, and fitness guru.

Her extraordinary career has spanned over 50 years. Tomlin began her stand-up career in the 1960’s and has won seven Emmys; two Tony’s, a Grammy for her comedy album, and two Peabody Awards. In 2003, she received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and prestigious Kennedy Center Honors in DC.            

Both Fonda and Tomlin are well-known for supporting philanthropic organizations. Tomlin supports causes focused on climate change, animal welfare, civil rights, health care, women’s issues, AIDS-related organizations, overcoming homelessness and supporting the LGBTQ community in all aspects of life.

Fonda recently celebrated her 80th birthday by helping raise nearly $1 million for the Women’s Media Center which she co-founded with Gloria Steinem and Robin Morgan and which works to make women and girls more visible and powerful in media.

Audience members will have the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with Fonda and Tomlin during a moderated question and answer session at the conclusion of the event. The Distinguished Speaker Series from SWAN Productions is open to the public, and the event is available in subscription packages only.
