Inflatable Pool Party Disturbance on Palm Ave

West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies were called repeatedly to Palm Avenue today on noise complaints related to a Memorial Day party.

The party was occurring on the 9000 block of Palm, and apparently a large inflatable pool was involved.  Weho Daily is continuing to investigate for more details on the size of the pool.

We did hear from one party attendee, Lauren Mele, who said “the Sheriff came because of a noise complaint.”

Weho Daily followers on Twitter were intrigued by the sound of the party, and one bet that clothes might have come off in the pool.

“We want photos from this 900 palm pool party!!” said TrixyWH on Twitter. “Somehow I got the feeling its clothing optional!”

That wasn’t the case, according to Mele.  “People still had their clothes on when I left,” she said.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for breaking news on the situation. Please post information that you have in comments section below.

In other news, other residents of the 900 block of Palm on hunt for more friends as to have something to do other than call the police next Memorial Day.

HAHA this article is so ridiculous. I attended this party which was amazing by the way. And the pool was small 2 -3 people at the max and who cares it’s his house he can put a small blow up pool in his yard. The cops came because of the music thats it. AND EVERYONE HAD CLOTHES ON.

So whomever wrote this article get a life please there are far worst things that are harming LA then a memorial day party.

Hi B! Are you implying that I have no life? I won’t comment on whether I do or don’t, but I did rather enjoy hearing about this party and so did a lot of other people.

I think someone who lives on Palm commented on Twitter that they “live on the best street in Weho!” in response.

So perhaps you misunderstood, but I think we’re all celebrating the party, not taking a dig at it.

Lakewood Felon Charged With Shooting Dog, Fleeing Police

LOS ANGELES — A Lakewood man was charged Jan 14 with six felony counts, including animal cruelty, in connection with the fatal shooting of a dog, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Shane Michael Dubyak faces one count each of cruelty to an animal; fleeing a pursuing peace officer’s motor vehicle while driving recklessly; possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, heroin and a revolver; and unlawful possession of ammunition as well as two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.

The case includes an allegation that Dubyak used a revolver in the commission of animal cruelty.

Arraignment is scheduled Jan 14 in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Downey Branch.

On Jan. 5, the defendant reportedly shot a 15-year-old terrier named Artie that was left under his care, in the 16400 block of Phoebe Avenue in La Mirada, prosecutors said. On Jan. 10, police spotted Dubyak and he fled when they attempted to detain him, prosecutors added.

According to ABC “Detectives launched an investigation after the incident was captured on surveillance video, showing someone shooting the dog Sunday before driving off.”

Prosecutors are requesting the defendant be held with no bail for violation of probation terms in which Dubyak pleaded no contest to one felony count of identity theft with a prior.

If convicted as charged on the current case, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of more than 14 years in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Norwalk Station.
