LA Mayor to Order Citywide Lockdown of Bars and Dine-In Restaurants
LOS ANGELES (Eater LA) — LA Mayor Eric Garcetti said in an interview on CNN this afternoon that the city of Los Angeles will order a shutdown of bars by today, adding that dine-in restaurants will likely be ordered to close very soon, pending orders from governor Gavin Newsom.
Last week Garcetti cautioned against dining in at restaurants , encouraging the public instead to order take-out in order to support local LA businesses. This shut down order today for bars comes amid guidance from the CDC to reduce interaction and mitigate the spread of coronavirus .

The Chapel at The Abbey Offer LGBTQ Lineup Weekends
WEST HOLLYWOOD — Weekends at The Chapel at The Abbey in West Hollywood have gotten a bit more inclusive and representative of the people in the LGBTQ community.
Beginning on Thursday, March 5 9pm-2am and Friday, March 6 9pm-2am, The Chapel is launching the grand opening of Altargirl Thursdays and CLSQ Fridays. Altargirl Thursdays, created by Sandy Sachs and Robin Gans’ Girl Bar of 30 years remains one of the few and longest running lesbian parties in the city.
CLSQ Fridays pronounced “classic”, created by Brandon Anthony of B.A.S.H. LA, caters to the modern alternative and upscale urban contemporary people of color LGBTQ audience.
The first weekend in March at The Chapel closes out with Heavenly Bodies monthly party on Sunday, March 8 from 10pm-2am, an evening celebrating and supporting the transgender and queer community created by trans activist and model Sasha Colby.
While identities and definitions of LGBTQ shift and change, The Chapel at The Abbey remains dedicated to being a safe space where everyone is welcomed offering some of the best night parties in town to represent all members of the LGBTQ community.

LOS ANGELES –If the cellophane-wrapped commercial aspect of Valentine’s Day is getting under your skin, perhaps something a bit more titillating is up your weird little alley (no judgement from us here at WHD). Hollywood Laughter Ent. offers a monthly Tickle Party at the Sanctuary Studios in Lennox – and yeah, they have couples pricing!
You may have heard of “tickle parties” before, perhaps in the context of a military controversy, or maybe you’ve seen a documentary about “tickle videos”- heck- maybe you’re a tickle flick aficionado. Here’s a chance to see for yourself what the world of tickle kink is all about.
In between the laughing tickle sessions, attendees can grab their favorite cocktail at the communal BYOB bar. No alcohol will be sold but snacks are available.
For $20 per ten minutes, guests can laugh out loud with models. Mini sessions go for $5.
