Free Reading of New Nathan Mohebbi Play on Sept 30 at Celebration Theatre

WEST HOLLYWOOD — With the support of the City of WeHo’s Arts Division, the Celebration Theatre presents free staged readings of new plays.

David + Jonathan, a biblical LGBTQ love story by Nathan Mohebbi, will be featured on Monday, September 30th at 7:30 pm.

Mohebbi is an actor, singer, dancer,writer and a former reality TV host.

As recorded in The Book of Samuel, David + Jonathan follows the heroic shepherd boy, David, and his ill-fated paramour, Prince Jonathan as they navigate what it means to love in times of war.

Chuck Rowland and co-founders of Celebration Theatre

Celebration Theatre, the oldest LGBTQ venue, was founded in 1982 by Chuck Rowland, a gay rights pioneer and co-founder of the Mattachine Society. Rowland started it in a leased storefront in Silver Lake to produce gay-themed material.

Monday, September 30, 2019at 7:30 p.m. at the City of West Hollywood’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room at West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.
