DOWNTOWN (TMZ) –Andy Dick was inconsolable, and understandably so, after a man walked into his art studio and shot himself in the head.

The tragic incident went down Monday around midnight inside Andy’s downtown L.A. art gallery … which opened late last year. Witnesses say the man had been waving a gun around before heading inside, where Andy and someone else was working.

Once inside, the man fired the shot. Witnesses say it appeared to be an accident.

It’s unclear if Andy witnessed the shooting, but he was visibly shaken as LAPD and paramedics responded to the scene. The victim was transported to a hospital, and according to one source, he’s currently on life support.

A traumatized Andy explained to police what he’d seen. We’ve reached out to Andy, but so far no word back.

‘Price Is Right’ Temporarily Suspends Production After Carey’s Ex Murdered

LOS ANGELES (Newsday) — Following the death of game-show host Drew Carey’s former fiancee, “The Price Is Right” is temporarily suspending production.

A representative for the show’s producer, Fremantle, told Newsday that the company has “confirmed that tapings have been postponed this week.” The CBS program is recorded months in advance, so no interruption is expected in its broadcast schedule.

Family and sex therapist Dr. Amie Harwick, who was briefly engaged to comedian and stand-up comic Carey in 2018, died Saturday at age 38 after falling three stories from her apartment balcony in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Citing surveillance video and signs of a struggle, the police according to local reports arrested an ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old photographer Gareth Pursehouse, on suspicion […]

The Most Expensive Home in LA Cost Jeff Bezos Only 0.13% of Net Worth

LOS ANGELES (Los Angeles Times) — Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos walks onstage for the launch of the Fire Phone in Seattle. It can be hard to grasp the wealth of Jeff Bezos, the planet’s richest man.

Thankfully his decision to spend $165 million on a Beverly Hills mansion last week — a California record — offers some clarity.

For starters, there’s this easy calculation. Amazon’s stock, the source of Bezos’ fortune, bounces around daily, but as of the close of markets last week, Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index calculated his net worth at $130 billion despite a $833 million stock market hit Friday.

That means the nine figure sum he’s shelling out for the former estate of movie mogul Jack Warner amounts to only 0.13% of his net worth, rounded up ever so slightly. Not too many Angelenos could […]

Drew Carey's Ex-Fiancee Claimed Murder Suspect Threw Her Out of Car

LOS ANGELES (TMZ) — Dr. Amie Harwick — Drew Carey‘s ex-fiancee who cops say was murdered by her ex-boyfriend — was also attacked multiple times by the ex, almost a decade ago … according to 2 restraining orders.

Amie filed for the first restraining order in June 2011 against Gareth Pursehouse, the man accused of murdering her. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, she claimed he once pushed her out of a car after they had an argument, leaving her on the side of a freeway.

She also alleged Pursehouse physically assaulted her about a month before the car incident. Amie claimed he “choked me, suffocated me, pushed me against walls, kicked me, dropped me to the ground with force … slammed my head into the ground, and punched me with a closed fist.”

Her injuries included bruising to her neck, back, legs and arms … according to the docs. Although she was granted a temporary restraining order, the case was dismissed after she failed to appear for a court hearing.

However, about a year later in April 2012, she again filed for a restraining order claiming Pursehouse broke into her apartment and smashed 10 picture frames and texted her, “things will get worse.”

The next day, Pursehouse allegedly broke into her building to leave flowers on her door — and again the next day to wait outside her door playing music … according to the docs. He also allegedly sent threatening emails to her friends.

This time around, the restraining order was granted for 3 years. It expired in April 2015.

We broke the story … Amie was murdered this weekend after cops say Pursehouse attacked her and caused her to fall from a third-story balcony. Cops say there’s evidence of forced entry and a struggle inside the home.

Detectives say Amie had recently expressed concerns about her ex-boyfriend causing her harm. Pursehouse has been arrested for murder.
