WEST HOLLYWOOD — Get an inside peak at the City of West Hollywood’s public facilities.
Join the Public Facilities Commission Annual Tour on Saturday, September 21 at 9 a.m. A bus will be available at the West Hollywood Community Center Hall, 8300 Santa Monica Blvd.
Everyone is invited to jump on the shuttle bus for an exciting tour of selected City of West Hollywood Public Facilities.
The Tour route will include Plummer Park, Formosa Park, and the Werle Building where participants will view the progress of the West Hollywood Park Phase II Project.
The bus will depart from City Hall at approximately 9 a.m. and drop-off will be at approximately 12 p.m.
This will be an excellent chance to check in on construction of the new four-level, 75,000-square-foot Aquatic and Recreation Center which will feature two rooftop swimming pools (one for fitness/competition and the other for recreation), and a multi-sport court with bleacher seating and scoreboards that will accommodate a variety of sports. The building will also feature five community meeting rooms and one conference room, staff offices, a Tiny Tot program classroom, a public access television studio, lockers, and additional parking.
The event is sponsored by the Public Facilities Commission, which is charged with reviewing the proposed development of all public facilities other than parking and transportation-related facilities including parks, City-owned buildings, the library, cable facilities, landscaping, streetscapes and the Santa Monica Boulevard median.
