Two different fundraising events are being held at area restaurants on Thursday, April 28.  The big event is being held at dozens of restaurants to benefit Project Angel Food.  Veggie Grill is also holding an event to raise money for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

A nationwide “Dine Out, Fight AIDS” fundraising event will occur on Thursday to raise money for local AIDS related charities. When you dine at a participating restaurant on April 28th, a portion of your check will go to a local AIDS organization. Dining Out For Life will be held in over 50 cities in the US and Canada. In Los Angeles, the beneficiary is Project Angel Food.

Some of the participating restaurants include The Abbey, Barney’s Beanery, BLD,,Cheebo, El Coyote Cafe, Hamburger Mary’s, Kitchen 24, The Little Door and Little Next Door, Lucques, Mr Chow, O!Burger, The Palm Restaurant, Taste, Vermont and many, many more. Check the full list of participating restaurants to find out the hours they will participate and more information.  It appears that most restaurants are donating 25% of sales.

The other event is being held at Veggie Grill at Sunset and Crescent Heights.  If you dine in or take out at Veggie Grill on the 28th and tell them that you’re “there to support PETA,” Veggie Grill will donate 50% of your food and beverage purchases to PETA.

Please let the restaurants know that you are dining for the fundraising events!
