Names Nights, a sacred tradition at the world famous Comedy Store, honors the accomplishments of store regulars by adding their names to its hallowed walls. Sharing valuable real estate alongside names like Sam Kinison, Jim Carrey and Chris Rock, this year’s batch of “graduates” will include Sarah Silverman, Tony Clifton, Judah Friedlander plus 25 other well knowns and soon-to-be well known. This no-holds-barred adult “variety show” brings together a unique combination of A-list comedians, pornstars, rock star performances, special guests and audience games and prizes. Hosted by superstar drummer and the latest self-promoting celeb sex tape entrepreneur Phil Varone (Saigon Kick, Skid Row), this cluster f*ck of entertainment has enough excitement to satiate even the most jaded of Hollywood club hoppers. SSMF Lineup: Motley Crue, Bush, Public Enemy and More

The Sunset Strip Music Festival today made their big announcement and officially revealed this year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival lineup. 2011 SSMF honorees MÖTLEY CRÜE will return to their  roots and perform live ON The Sunset Strip Saturday, Aug. 20, closing the outdoor street festival stages! The outdoor stages will also feature exciting performances from a range of amazing artists throughout the day, including  BUSH, PUBLIC ENEMY, MATT & KIM, ESCAPE THE FATE, THE DIRTY HEADS, COBRA STARSHIP, SHE WANTS REVENGE, BLACK VEIL BRIDES and TRIBAL SEEDS. The all-day street festival will also feature performances by more than 50 bands in the venues, including VOXHAUL BROADCAST, LETLIVE, DELUKA, PIGEON JOHN, KILL THE COMPLEX, THE LOST PATROL and DIVINITY ROXX.

Get your poetry and wine on this Tuesday, June 14, as The Standard, Hollywood, hosts a poetry reading with John Tottenham. Tottenham will feature readings from fellow poets Dottie Grossman, Eric Erlandson and Hank Cherry. The evening kicks off with a wine reception in the Cactus Lounge at 7 p.m. followed by the reading at 8 p.m. This event is free and is sure to add some class to your FourSquare check-ins.

Sunset Strip Picks: Honor Society, Club With No Name

Hollywood club impresario Dayle Gloria resurrects her infamous “Club With No Name” tonight at the world famous Viper Room. In the early ’90s, this legendary nameless night hosted the likes of Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine and every other band of any significance. Come see what treasures Gloria has dug up this time at the premiere showing with The Dreaming, We Are The Riot, The Disowned and more. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are a throwback priced $5. (The Viper Room is ages 21 and older.)

Jane’s Addiction Inducted in to Guitar Center RockWalk

Jane’s Addiction was inducted into the historic Guitar Center RockWalk in Hollywood on Wednesday. Band members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins appeared for the special ceremony at the Hollywood Guitar Center store on Sunset Blvd., with Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello giving the induction speech. Guitar Center’s RockWalk is dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and R&B. Jane’s Addiction’s hand prints will reside alongside the hand prints, signatures, and faces of other accomplished musicians and innovators including Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, AC/DC, Bonnie Raitt, Aerosmith, Carl Perkins, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Run-D.M.C and Queen, among numerous others. Over the course of their 25-plus year career, Jane’s Addiction merged alternative and rock like no one before, becoming the first alternative rock band and creating a new sound and attitude in the process.
