Joan Rivers Spread Ashes Before Hamburger Mary’s Visit?

We had a tip from Weho Daily reader @smrtmnky on Twitter that Joan Rivers was going to be at Hamburger Mary’s filming a reality show on Tuesday.  And we found a few pics posted via Twitter to document the visit. UPDATE… TMZ cameras apparently found Joan on Rodeo Drive before she headed over to Mary’s… and she was spreading her friend’s cremated ashes in front of the Chanel store.  Not only that, but she threw some of her friends ashes at the TMZ camera guy! At least it seams that way by comparing the photos of what she was wearing (below), and she also had the heavy duty “filming” cameras with her on Rodeo, as you can see in the photo taken from TMZ’s TV broadcast below.

Franco’s Soap Episode Shot at Pacific Design Center Airs

Though we don’t follow the soaps ourselves, we read in the Los Angeles Times that the episode shot one night last month at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s outpost at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood aired on Friday. The favorite moment of the Times’ Culture Monster Christopher Knight comes right at the start. As the outdoor set for a performance by artist Franco, played by actor James Franco, is being decorated, the soundtrack does its level best to mimic “Masterpiece Theatre.” Read Knight’s review at Culture Monster at the Los Angeles Times

The full episode is available on Hulu, but it looks like it will expire and be removed in a few days. We’ve included a clip of the opening scenes below.
