New York Times – The Governors Ball may have been sleepy, but the other must-stop Oscars afterparty, thrown by Vanity Fair at the Sunset Tower, had wind-up energy. At its height it felt like a starry sea where everyone from Hollywood and the worlds it touches – which is all of them – bobbed in to do a lap. There was Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, J.J. Abrams, Larry David and Sacha Baron Cohen. Martin Short and Billy Crystal, of near equal stature, kibbitzing in a corner. 50 Cent stopped by, chatted with Mr. Timberlake, who was talking to Rufus Wainwright, who brought the designer Zaldy.

Video: Liam Hemsworth Flips Out in Front of Trousdale

TMZ reports that Miley Cyrus’ ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth went off on some bouncers outside Trousdale last night on the Sunset Strip during a post Grammy celebration. It doesn’t seem like he has much of a chance against the bouncers, and they don’t seem too concerned. He screams that he was on their side before smiling for some photos and taking off. Stars Align for LA Dogworks ‘Night of Emotion’ Celebration

The kickoff event for the reopening of LA Dogworks went off with roaring laughter on Thursday night in Hollywood. The top canine training, boarding and grooming center was hit by a devastating fire just one year ago. Celebrities, eager adopters and supporters packed the famed canine facility for LA Dogwork’s Second Annual “Night of Emotion” Benefiting A Dog’s Life Rescue. The night was filled with stars, top comedians and precious dogs hoping to find a home. Over $5,000 was raised for the A Dog’s Life Rescue through door donations and a silent auction.

Dozens of A-List celebrities headed to the Sunset Strip’s Sunset Tower hotel for the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) Golden Globes after-party following the awards show in Beverly Hills on Sunday. Those seen arriving and leaving included Scarlett Johansson, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban, Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Amy Adams, Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera, Tilda Swinton, Anne Hathaway, Bruce Willis, Kevin Spacey and many more.

‘Golden Voice’ Homeless Man Detained by LAPD Hollywood

Ted Williams, the “Golden Voiced” homeless man who has recently made national news headlines after being discovered by a newspaper reporter, was briefly detained by Hollywood LAPD officers. According to the report in the Hollywood Reporter, police were called to the Renaissance Hotel at about 9PM on a report of a disturbance.   They found Williams having a yelling altercation with his daughter.  The two were transported to the LAPD Hollywood Division station for an investigation before being released without charges. Williams has been making the rounds of television and radio shows across the country, and TMZ just reported on Monday that he has been in Los Angeles for the last few days.  TMZ even joked about wondering how long it would take for him to make an appearance at Millions of Milkshakes here in West Hollywood, and indeed late last night, Millions of Milkshakes sent out an offer of a $1,000 reward to anyone who could get him to the store. Noise Complaints as Stars Attend CoverGirl Party at Boa

The West Hollywood Sheriff got a number of noise complaints about loud music (courtesy of DJ Samantha Ronson) last night around BOA, where numerous stars were attending CoverGirl’s 50th anniversary party. Those attending included Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Drew Barrymore, Taylor Swift, Sofia Vergara, Queen Latifah and Selena Gomez.
