Wednesday, September 14 return to The Roxy Theatre for Canadian hard rock imports Danko Jones. Five albums deep in their career the group led by frontman and namesake Danko Jones has built a sizeable loyal fanbase by simply (or not so simply) “putting in the work” of constant touring and turning out consistently solid records. Also rounding out this kick ass bill of fare: Fireball Ministry and Goldsboro. Don’t miss this juggernaut of a rock show! Doors open at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $13.50.

PICK OF THE WEEK: The godfather of shock rock Alice Cooper returns to The Sunset Strip Thursday, September 15 for a one night only, soldout show at his old stomping grounds: the Whisky A Go-Go. Doors open at 7 p.m. What’s left to say..?

Aussie singer/songwriter and seventh season “American Idol” contestant Michael Johns returns stateside to the world famous Viper Room on Friday, September 16, for an intimate showcase with The Banjo Boyz and the Brian Buckley Band. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance/$15 day of show.

Weekend warriors, party down this Saturday, September 17 at the Key Club with Wayward Sons. Billed as “L.A.’s premiere arena rock tribute band,” WS covers all your favorite drunken karaoke hits from bands like Journey, Queen, Foreigner, Boston and more. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.

It’s “Farmer’s Market Sunday” Sunset Strip-style at the Eveleigh, as their mixologists scour L.A.’s top weekend farmer’s markets to find the freshest, most seasonal ingredients for their cocktails. The cocktails change weekly (previous selections have included “Summers Lovin” with Rhum Agricole, coconut milk, black pepper, strawberry shrub, kaffir and allspice and the “Fig Thyme” with gin, Turkish figs, thyme, lemon juice and Miracle Mile fig bitters.) Stop by see what this week’s market finds bring! Also on tap: brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
