Get a double-dose of Scott Weiland on Tuesday, May 24 as he spends his day on The Sunset Strip. Stop by Book Soup at 7 p.m. as the Stone Temple Pilots frontman and solo artist signs copies of his memoir, Not Dead & Not For Sale. Then take a quick half-block walk to the Viper Room for his (sold out) performance at 10:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 25 Slurpee MixMaker LA presents Something Corporate “side project” Jack’s Mannequin at The Roxy Theatre. These OC giants have outgrown their place as a time-off solo endeavor for S.C. frontman Andrew McMahon and have become an established band with their own following. Grab an ice cold Slurpee while ingesting some hot tunes on The Sunset Strip.  Doors open at 7 p.m.

Get some much needed comic relief this Thursday, May 26 when The Comedy Store presents hardcore comic Doug Stanhope. Known for his abrasive comic style and hard partying ways, Stanhope has gained a reputation for his “say anything,” uninhibitedly hilarious rants. Christine Levine is also on the bill. Tickets are $25. Please note this show is ages 21 and older.

Party for a cause on Friday, May 27 as The Roxy Theatre presents Loud on The Sunset
Strip, a Japan relief benefit concert. This “win-win” features Sunset Strip Music Festival alum B-Real and friends, plus local greats Abused Romance, Juke Kartel and The Drills raising the roof and raising funds for much need aid overseas. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance/$20 day of show.

Enjoy a little sexy time on Saturday, May 28 as the Viper Room presents Once Upon A Tease- Burlesque. This troupe of British imports brings you a cast of highly skilled dancers and singers performing as popular storybook characters with a clothing optional twist. Don’t miss this provocative musical peepshow. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15. The Viper Room is ages 21 and older.

Sunday, May 29 the Key Club presents The Literates album release party featuring Sen Dog of Cypress Hill.  That’s right hip-hop fans, catch both members of the Cypress Hill crew in the same week, before they head out to represent at their annual summer Smoke Out festival.   Amazing happenstances like this, happening only on The Sunset Strip.  Doors open at 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10 – $12.
