We received the following account from a Weho Daily reader:
I live a block away from the shooting and witnessed the scene directly after I hearing sirens for about 2 seconds and then multiple shots fired in rapid succession that sounded like fireworks. The suspect vehicle was surrounded by several undercover vehicles that had him blocked in. The area was full of people in flak jackets marked “district attorney” including one guy in a kind of SWAT helmet. He had been shot through the driver side window and was on the ground in handcuffs with blood all over his side and was crying out in pain. It was several minutes before paramedics and LAPD showed up to clear the scene.
