Attempted Robbery at Bank on Santa Monica Blvd

West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies responded to an attempted robbery at a bank this evening, but the robbery attempt was a failure.

The attempted robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank at 8571 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood at about 5:45PM.

A man entered the bank and presented a note to a teller stating that they should give him all their money because he had a weapon. No details were available as to why the robbery attempt failed.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 5’7″ tall, weighing 150 pounds, and wearing an oversize, dark jacket, jeans and beanie. The suspect was possibly a transient. He was last seen fleeing eastbound on Santa Monica Blvd.

  1. Sounds like the work of a Parolee Ex-Con named Ray Ray who has come by an unregistered firearm that he swears had never had a serial number. He said he got it from a friend in Compton or Inglewood.
