The California Supreme Court refused to review a case about a 2005 murder here in West Hollywood.  An appeals court rejected his claims that there were errors in his trial.

Chase Bramlage was convicted of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife, Fukuko Kusakari.

He and his attorney arrived at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station at 9AM in the morning on December 3, 2005 to tell deputies that they needed to go to Bramlage’s apartment on Crescent Heights near Santa Monica Blvd because a woman had been stabbed there.  They gave the deputies a key to the apartment and suggested that they conduct a welfare check. They did so, and found his wife dead at the scene.
