Our friends up at TMZ just tipped us of on a report that Lindsay Lohan, West Hollywood’s most infamous current resident, has failed a drug test in her criminal case.
TMZ sources say that the court-mandated drug test in question occurred last week. According to the terms of Lindsay’s probation, she will get 30 days in jail for a positive drug test.
One source connected with Lindsay tells TMZ … “People with addiction problems don’t get better magically, and she’s really been making an effort to make herself better.”

TMZ’s sources say the test came back positive for cocaine. They also have an update saying that it wasn’t only a single “dirty” test, but another test came back positive. The additional test didn’t come back positive for cocaine, but TMZ’s source wouldn’t be more specific.
D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons tells TMZ her office has not been “officially notified” of the test results and no court date has been set yet.
Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ she is saying it’s not true — insisting she has not failed, but TMZ says they have confirmed it is indeed true.
The Los Angeles Times reports that an official investigation is underway but that, according to their sources, no official determination has been made that she did take illicit drugs. The report also says that the judge and prosecutor in the case have received “unofficial” word of the investigation.
