Tuesday, Sept. 14 House of Blues Sunset Strip hosts pop-hop phenom Mike Posner. In one year, this musical prodigy went from recording in his dorm room to a nationwide tour. Check out the songs that are sweeping the airwaves. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 advance/$35 day of show or $80 VIP.

Spend your hump day, well…learning about humping. Wednesday, Sept. 15 Book Soup hosts authors Scott Jacobson and Todd Levin as they present and sign copies of their arousing guide Sex: Our Bodies, Our Junk. With endorsements by Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O’Brien this “exhaustively researched and fully illustrated” book answers all the awkward questions you never even thought to ask. Signing begins at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 16 the Key Club presents Devildriver, Kittie and Kataklysym. With enough double kick and unintelligible growling to make your head-banging head spin, this night will satisfy all your primal metal urges. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Friday, Sept. 17 the Viper Room presents Matt Sorum’s Darling Stilettos. Like the naughty rock and roll version of the Pussycat Dolls, these bad girls cover all the classics with a sexy edge. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door.

Bringing you the finest new music this fair city has to offer, KROQ Local’s Only presents surf reggae quartet The B Foundation at The Roxy Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 18. Also breaking ground this night, The Pricks, Knock-Out and West Swell. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13.50.

Be industrious on Sunday with the build your own bloody mary bar at The Olive Kitchen + Bar. This Cal-Italian addition to The Strip hosts a make your own mary bar from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and boasts patio seating.
