Los Angeles Police were just after a black pickup truck driving recklessly on Wilshire after it was said to contain a man with a gun.

The incident started to unfold shortly after 2:30pm.  A helicopter came to the area of Wilshire and La Brea on the report of a man with a gun and observed the truck driving quickly and picking up speed, leading them to become suspicious of the vehicle.

The driver was heading westbound on Wilshire, weaving in and out of lanes.

Natalie, a Weho Daily reader, was having lunch in the area and watched the culmination of the incident as several LAPD cars arrived around Wilshire and Hauser with guns drawn.  There, they took the man into custody.

About 5 minutes elapsed in total from the time the helicopter arrived in the area.
