There was a large group fight that apparently started at Rage on Santa Monica Blvd near San Vicente just after closing time last night.
Weho Daily reader Albie Andujar let us know about the incident from the scene, even before we heard about it from the Sheriff. Deputies were dispatched in the following minutes to the fight, describing it as “large” with bottles being thrown and people in the street.
Andujar said the fight started on the front patio of the nightclub and was between two drag queens. Others quickly jumped in and started throwing blows as the fight spilled into the streets. That can be seen in one of the photos he sent to us here at Weho Daily as the fight was unfolding.
“The fight literally happened on my lap,” he said. “It’s crazy how it happened… everyone seemed so chill on the patio.”
The incident was quickly calmed within 20 minutes or so by the presence of West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies, he said, as of about 2:35am.
Fire and rescue was called to the location at about 2:45am to attend to an 18 year old male with lacerations to his head.

Cat fights between drag queens?!? You’d think the marginalized of the marginalized would get a clue! I am transgendered and life is a struggle. We need all the help and support we can get from each other. But I guess dysfunctional people come in all sizes, shapes and forms including drag queens. Pathetic!
