The West Hollywood area may be losing more food related establishments on top of the difficult loss (for some) of Del Taco, which we caught wind of last week. At least for awhile, during construction of new projects, which may or may not include more food and grocery related businesses.

Signs are up near the broke-down Carl’s Jr at Santa Monica Blvd and La Brea Ave and the Jons Marketplace at Fountain Ave and La Brea Ave announcing an August 5th West Hollywood Planning Commission hearing, a meeting where the commission will decide whether or not to approve both projects.
West Hollywood planner Francisco Contreras tell Curbed LA that locals are supportive of the developer’s plans, and if everything is ultimately approved, demos and construction could happen in about a year.
And just a few blocks west of the Carl’s project, the Movietown development is supposedly breaking ground in September.
