The Beverly Hills Courier reports that a woman pleaded not guilty today to charges of murder in the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend Katsutoshi Tony Takazato at his Beverly Hills home.

Chie Alexandra Coggins Johnson, 20, remains jailed on $3 million bail. She is due back in Beverly Hills Superior Court on Aug. 26.
Johnson’s current boyfriend, Scott Joseph Barker, 23, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, according to Jane Robison of the District Attorney’s Office.
A third suspect was arrested but was released lacking evidence that tied him to the crime.

Our family sends our deepest sympathy to Tony Takazato’s family and friends. We had the privilege of meeting Tony when he participated in an online gaming site and attended tournaments with our son. He was extremely bright, courteous and friendly. His passing at a young age and the devastating manner of his death are heart wrenching. May those responsible for this horrendous act be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Tony is at peace now and no one can ever hurt him again. “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.”
