Things are buzzing around Beverly Hills today, and not on Rodeo Drive.

The Beverly Hills Fire Department was called out to Foothill Road on a report of a swarm of bees in a city owned tree.

Upon arrival, Beverly Hills Engine 5 reported to the dispatcher, “This is a city tree, with about 50,000 bees, can you please contact pest control. Directly in front of 306 Foothill.”

The dispatcher asked, “are the bees inactive or are they still swarming?”

Engine 5 reported, “They are still swarming around the tree.”

Let’s just hope they stay on that side of Doheny from Weho.
