Although out of the area, we reported on the dramatic porn related murder in the Valley (of course) on Wednesday where a “Ballbusting Pornstars” actor killed one person and injured two others with a movie prop samurai sword.

Stephen Hill, who uses the stage name Steve Driver, is suspected of hacking at three porn-industry co-workers with a machete-like prop at a Van Nuys adult-entertainment studio. This image was found on his MySpace page.

He was located today, and after an all day standoff with LAPD SWAT team members on a cliff in a Canoga Park neighborhood, Los Angeles Police used some sort of non-lethal shot (such as rubber bullets, bean bags, or taser) that prompted him to slide himself off the cliff. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident lasted for several hours leading up to the fall.

The LA Times reported at 1:25pm that the man was threatening to jump off a cliff.

Gigi Graciette from Fox 11 tweeted at 3:40pm that the man was still on the cliff, but rather than jump, he was going to kill himself with the samurai sword rather than surrender.

Finally, after exhausting all other options, LAPD officers apparently attempted to stun and overpower him with tasers and possibly other non-lethal measures, such as bean bags and rubber bullets.

News footage shows him looking slightly startled just before he slides himself off the cliff moments later.

The man was tethered and officers tried to break his fall as much as possible. Information on any injuries was not immediately available, and paramedics covered his body and face entirely as he was moved out past media. They had a manually operated breathing apparatus near his mouth.

It was later reported that the suspect died in the fall. A coroners van arrived at the hospital about 8:30pm to recover his body.

Gigi Graciette of Fox 11 said their video shows him falling face first, and it “would have been a miracle to survive that.”

A friend of victim Tom Wong and the suspect told Graciette, “it’s sad but we had hoped Steve would kill himself and end this all.”
